PREMIUM QUALITY HANDCRAFTED TIMBER SURFBOARDS Burleigh Heads Australia. Hand made surfboards by Geoff Moase.

Dovetail Timber Surfboards  are handcrafted in the Tallebudgera Creek valley in the Hinterland of Australia's Gold Coast by Geoff Moase. With 30 years experience in the field of finish-carpentry/cabinetry, Geoff has developed his own unique method of creating the infinitely changing compound curves of the modern surfboard using timber. Traditional scribing  and laminating techniques together with extreme accuracy combine to produce a board which is lightweight, maneuverable and significantly stronger than common foam/glass production line boards.

Our unique construction method allows a wide range of flexibility in plan shape, rocker and bottom contours as well as timber selection, fins, contrasts and inlays.
All boards are glassed or sealed internally and externally.
All the timber we use is plantation grown, reclaimed or responsibly forested.

My Vision

Dovetail surfboards are committed to producing lightweight, high-performance, individually unique surfboards while preserving excellence in craftsmanship and attention to detail.

My Objective

To hand craft truly beautiful timber surfboards which will last a lifetime and not end up as landfill.
To build hollow wooden surfboards which rival their plastic counterparts for performance.
To appreciate that no two, hand made, hollow timber surfboards are exactly the same!

Comments - "One talented timber craftsman can only make so many boards at one time, so contact Geoff to view his work, then you can place an order to be completely stoked when he hands you your surfing stick. It's great to know someone still hand crafts timber surfboards " by Jason (Stooksy Websites )
